in 1996 After a successful stint in the WWF as Razor Ramon, Scott Hall returned to World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Hall arrived in WCW annoucing that "they" were taking over the company. The "They" he was referring to was Kevin Nash and longtime fan favorite Hulk Hogan and together formed the New World Order (nWo).
While Hogan was World Champion, Hall & Nash nominated the tag team scene for the most part of the early years of the nWo. Everything was working out well until a power struggle in 1998 made the nWo split into two factions; Hogan's nWo Hollywood and Nash's nWo Wolfpac. Surpisingly Hall sided with Hogan and started feuding with his best friend Kevin Nash. During the battles between the nWo, Kevin Nash got the best out of Scott Hall. Eventually Nash, Hall and The nWo got back together (sort of), but it was never the same.
Scott Hall was a very important member/founder of the nWo, but he never had the same stroke or influence that Hogan and Nash had on the group. During the years Scott Hall ongoing personal problems had led to him being fired by WCW in 2000 and by the WWF in 2002.
